The touch of metal …

The touch of metal

There was a time when
the sky stood triumphant,
spilling dancing birds
and brilliance,
glittery smiles over
the cobalt nets of the sea.

Now the clouds scatter
heartbroken petals,
ashes of innocent violets
that will never breathe love
and the sun rays,
they have the touch of metal.

Ooohhh…that has a cold ring to it!!!
I hope is metal is just as malleable as the golden rays of the sun…

So enjoyed the imagery you created in this. Spilling dancing birds…my fav.

This is wonderful! I love the contrast between the verses, that sense of decay, of paradises lost.

  4. Tom Baker Says:

Beautiful Blaga. The sun rays sound very off-planet.

  5. Eclipse Says:

Great way of expressing the cold (no matter what kind)
    Love the pic!

This was a very thoughtful piece, Blaga. I think it matches the picture perfectly. Sorry that Winter isn’t letting go just yet, but be patient – Spring will conquer those chilly temps and grey skies soon! And then the metal will melt with the warmth of Spring breezes and flowers dressed in frills. :)

“Spilling dancing birds” is just awesome ! The pic is perfect for the poem too! Love and Hugs :-)
