Through the eyes of a poet

“Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever, it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.” ~ Aaron Siskind

“Sina Saberi is a soul from the east. A soul from all over the universe, that’s how I feel about myself. Are there truly any boundaries? Are there really limitations when it comes to Life & the sun & loneliness? I feel like I could have been born anywhere and I could have been everywhere! I write because this is my Telos in Life. This is how I can speak my mind and how I could make sure I’m listening to the many souls, to the many voices around; I teach English in Tehran; I have been doing that for almost seven years now and I’ve always worked in the field of education. It gives me joy and every day I hope to improve myself. Photography is my number two passion; Taking pictures, capturing moments which otherwise would’ve only passed if not lived…” ~Sina Saberi

I think Sina is a person with many talents who has a whole life ahead to share and achieve a great success. I’ve been following Sina’s poetry at LifeSpect… wordpress blog for quite some time now, but what made me do this post was his photography. I don’t know why, I just like it! It’s beautiful, it’s inspirational, it’s a gentle touch of a magical soul!

There were so many photos that I wanted to include in the post and because it was not possible, I decided to make a little video combining Sina’s images and different lines of his poetry. Enjoy the ride! Sina doesn’t have yet a site for his pictures, but he is working on it, and until then, you can visit his poetry blog LifeSpect ….

Thank you Sina, it’s a pleasure, it’s an honor to know you!

I can see why you and he are friends – you are both excellent at capturing life’s moments in a way that preserves the ‘feeling’ or ‘soul’ of the moments. :) Thanks so much for sharing and introducing us to Sina!
