Dreaming Christmas dreams

Dreaming Christmas dreams

I’m dreaming dreams again, I feel alive, I breathe.
No cold, no wind or snow will ruin this for me,
not now, not ever. It’s time to have the Christmas
I didn’t celebrate this or any previous Decembers.
It’s time to open the presents I didn’t have all these years.
It’s time to fill my glass with finest french champagne
and drink to this final new beginning I so waited for.

The nights so dark and lonely I will kiss “good bye”,
the days so empty and meaningless I will put aside.
My mind can rest and let my imagination to escape.
The walks that I walked alone, the conversations,
I can now share with you here, there, everywhere.
Your laughter, the sound of your voice that I so adore,
I don’t need to hear through the telephone wire.
I can now have you dancing waltz and smiling.

The angry sighs late at night, faraway from you,
I don’t have to drown in the feathers of my pillow.
I can show you how much I want to be with you.
The words “I miss you”  written in letters I can leave behind,
my hand will feel your heart, my lips will whisper “I love you”.
It’s time to find the suitcase covered with dust
and pack few sets of clothes and on top my faith in us.

Because this world was built for you and me to meet,
and so does love and passion meant for us to be.
Until the sun shines from East to West,
no time, no distance will make me stay away,
until the moon counts the stars every night,
no mountain, no hill will stop you to find me tonight.

Merry Christmas dear friends! May you all gather the goodwill of Christmas, may you all save a little bit of the love and warmth at this time of year! Be blessed with smiles and moments worth living!

Love & Hugs …

This is amazing! One of your finest I think! (Though it would be hard to pick a favourite, yours are all so great!). I really love the lines:
The nights so dark and lonely I will kiss “good bye”, the days so empty and meaningless I will put aside. I think it’s great to find the joys, something to look forward to, especially this time of year. I’ve been a bit grumpy these past days, a bit of a “scrooge” so-to-say, but I think this poem is really optimistic, and reminds me what this time of year is about: being with the people you love :)

A great poem, thanks for sharing it Blaga, it put a very large smile on my face!

    Mery Christmas :)

  11. Tweety Says:

When the dreams are not mist and air,
And you find him really standing there,
And all the love you saved for now,
Will fill your heart and fulfill your vow,
And for each tear you cried at night,
You’ll have a kiss and a smile to make it right!

The second, to thank you once again for allowing me to feature your poetry on my site. It’s been four months since I first started Poetic License and it is time to feature all four months together in one post.

January 3rd is the next Poetic License to see the tri-annual magazine with your poem featured once again. I hope you like it. Thanks again and I’m glad I got to know you this year.
